Diego Ibarra Sánchez is a Spanish visual storyteller based in Lebanon. He is the co-founder of The Visual Factory Academy, a space for reflection and responsibility in photography and journalism: a cultural association, an academy, and a community built on the belief that on-the-ground reporting still matters and makes a difference. Ibarra Sánchez is currently in Lebanon, where 1.5 million Lebanese people have been displaced due to the Israeli occupation. Despite the call for a ceasefire, over 2,659 people have been killed and 8,000 wounded, according to Al Jazeera. With over 60 villages destroyed by the Israeli occupation, the Lebanese people are left with no homes, schools, or necessary infrastructure to survive.
