Qamar Refaat is a Cairene gender-diverse individual with an interest in cultural anthropology, history, photography and art. A staunch opponent of polyester, their work usually focuses on the less explored facets of an already unique lived experience, challenging assimilation in a rapidly hegemonizing world.

The majority of us know that the personal is political, like it or not.

We the majority want, simply: Freedom. Freedom to be, do, say, worship, and love whoever, whatever and however we want. A Fair Deal. A Functioning Society. It’s not to much to demand.
