Nathalie Lozano-Neira was born in Muisca territory (Colombia), trying to carry the memory and teachings of her grandmother’s Muisca roots. After being displaced from her hometown of Villarrica, Tolima, she sought refuge nearly two decades ago on the lands of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations (Vancouver), where she grew into community work grounded in relationships, care, and solidarity. She has been part of migrant justice and grassroots organizing as a facilitator, youth worker, and interpreter, supporting connections across Indigenous and migrant communities. Her work has included interpreting for international exchanges between the Global North and South, helping hold spaces where people can meet across languages, histories, and struggles. Nathalie recently returned to Colombia and now lives in a rural community near Circasia, where she continues to nurture relationships, land-based living, and collective work. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing salsa, playing soccer, and sharing food with loved ones.
