Sahar Delijani

Iranian-American author Sahar Delijani was born in Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison in 1983 while both of her parents were imprisoned political activists opposing the newly-installed Islamic Republic. Her internationally acclaimed debut novel, Children of the Jacaranda Tree, has been translated into 32 languages and published in more than 75 countries.

The majority of us know that the personal is political, like it or not.

We the majority want, simply: Freedom. Freedom to be, do, say, worship, and love whoever, whatever and however we want. A Fair Deal. A Functioning Society. It’s not to much to demand.
