Natalie Garland

Founder of LAMSA Bekaa, Natalie Garland is a social anthropologist and creative. Immersed in grassroots refugee-led humanitarianism since 2019, she embodies a critical perspective around the asylum and research regimes shaping and controlling refugees’ daily lives. Her design and research practices emerge in response to these harmful dynamics, leveraging the power of craft as a creative methodology and pathway towards dignity.

We the majority want, simply: Freedom. Freedom to be, do, say, worship, and love whoever, whatever and however we want. A Fair Deal. A Functioning Society. It’s not to much to demand.
