My name is Ian Schultz, I am a social documentary photographer based in NYC. My work operates at the intersection of culture and politics, with past work on everything from Subway Takes to the campaign of Zohran Mamdani. I am driven to photograph as a means of comprehending our social landscape as it unfolds, with focus on how people live within and respond to power, capitalism, and the progressively permeating fascism prevalent in our western society. With my work I aim to elevate consciousness and give hope and voice to those who commit themselves to justice.
