Collecteurs
Evrim Oralkan is the co-founder and Creative Leader of Collecteurs, the Museum of Private Collections and the first Slow Social Media platform built to preserve, fund, and amplify cultural production. Developed at the New Museum’s cultural incubator, Collecteurs redefines the role of the museum in the digital age, providing public access to unseen private collections while creating a sustainable, independent economy for artists and cultural workers.
Under his leadership, Collecteurs is pioneering a new cultural infrastructure—one that accessions culture instead of erasing it, funds artists through 5% Forward, and fosters direct support through Circles and Calls. His work has been recognized by The New York Times, Flash Art, and beyond.
Evrim has collaborated with leading artists and thinkers, including Massive Attack, Noam Chomsky, Emily Jacir, Adam Broomberg, and Rosalind Nashashibi. As a founding board member of Ethics of Collecting, he helped shape the world’s first Code of Conduct for Contemporary Art Collectors, setting new standards for responsibility in the art world.
