Maen Hammad
Maen is a documentary photographer and writer. He considers himself a dedicated creative, always encouraged to explore the imaginative and to play around with the mundane. He was born in Palestine, raised in the US suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and is currently based in Ramallah. Besides Maen’s work in documentary photography, he is also a researcher and campaigner.
Maen has had his images exhibited internationally. He also has work in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Maen has had his thoughts and images published in TIME, i-D., the New Yorker, and Caravan Magazine. He is a Magnum Foundation grantee and recipient of the Arab Documentary Photography Program and holds a MA in international affairs from the George Washington University.
