Hanan Sharifa

Hanan Sharifa is a clothing designer based in New York. Sharifa’s identity as a Moroccan American is at the center of her practice, often printing her name Hanan in Arabic, which translates to “tender”, or “compassionate.” To have the word “tender” on our bodies reminds us of our collective empathy as humans, experiencing this world together.

We the majority want, simply: Freedom. Freedom to be, do, say, worship, and love whoever, whatever and however we want. A Fair Deal. A Functioning Society. It’s not to much to demand.
